Comic is the topic of the dog photography 52 week challenge and I'm going to use some recent images because to me they are funny.

I think leash removeal in dog photography is something most people probably think we photographers don't have to do. Just look through my website. There isn't a leash to be seen... until this post. For most people looking at photos on my website, they probably think I'm photographing perfectly behaved, well-trained dogs that are all off-leash. I am not but I can understand why someone would think that.

Never heard of the blue sky tag blog challenge? Me neither until my friend Dedra Davis of Dedra Writes nominated me. Dedra is one of my best Instagram friends. She and I have a lot in common: we both found our "why" later in life. Her "why" is writing. Mine is photographing dogs. We are both embracing our journeys and I enjoy following along on hers. Bokeh is the theme for our dog photography week 52 project for week 27. According to wikipedia, bokeh is defined as "the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens or the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light". In my images, the bokeh are the circles of light behind my subject.

Soft is the theme for week 25 of our 52 week dog photography project. My thoughts go in a lot of different directions when I think of the word soft and photography. Since I photograph dogs, my first thought is soft fur. Soft velvety ears. Then I immediately think of this dog.
