The Door to my Heart
This is a blog post for the 52 week pet photography project. We are a group of dog photographers from around the world who are given a subject and we write a blog and post photos about the topic.
This week the topic is “doors.” I immediately thought of photographing dogs in front of doors but then this thought occurred to me. My dogs are the door to my heart. If you’re reading this, your dogs are probably the door to your heart too.
City Dog Photos
This is a post for the 52 week pet photography project and some of you know I was recently in San Francisco one of my favorite cities in the world.
Photographing High Energy Dogs
On a gorgeous spring evening, I arrived at Freedom Park. I was excited to meet my newest client Sophie. Her mom had told me all about her and she was everything I imagined: regal, sophisticated, sleek, and ink black.
She just oozed of elegance.
Pets and People
The reason BARKography exists is because of my love for dogs.
In January, I was contacted by a local woman who was starting a service dog training program. This is a mother / daughter team that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know over the last few months.
Leash Removal in Dog Photography
Most of the dogs I photograph are on leash and someone is holding the leash. A lot of people who see my website probably think, “My dog could never do this because he can’t be off leash.”
I’m here to tell you he can.
Watch this time lapse video so you can see how I make the leash and the handler disappear.
George the Shih Tzu
I met George the shih tzu when his mom was given a gift certificate to have him photographed.
