I'm so happy to announce that I'm returning to Vancouver. I visited with my friend Audrey of Sunsets Unleashed in April. We both fell in love so we are returning August 17 - 21, 2018. 

Selfies is the topic of our dog photography 52 week project and I'm going to be honest here: I can't take a selfie.

Blue is the theme of our 52 week pet photography project and when I think of blue and photography I think of the sky. I don't take a lot of photos when I am in Charlotte of the sky. I rarely use my wide angle lens when I am home because I'm typically surrounded by trees. 

Black and white is the theme of the pet photography 52 week project in week 22 and it's nice to be back in the blog circle this week. I've been traveling the last two weeks and I didn't have the time to write a blog. I absolutely hate that I missed last week's cityscape theme. I don't take cityscape photos in Charlotte but since I was recently in Vancouver and San Francisco, I have some of them and would've loved to post them. I know I still can but this blog circle gives me a reason to do it and even though I'd like to post them, it seems as though other tasks get in the way and I usually don't get around to it. Can anyone else relate to that?

Favorite song is the topic of our dog photography 52 week project this week and my mind went in a 100 different directions when I thought about this topic. My initial thought was, how do I pick one favorite song? I love music. I have tons of favorite songs. I listen to music all the time. Do I try to pick my favorite song that's being played on the radio right now? That'd be hard... but I could try.

I love silhouette photography. I always have. When I think of silhouettes, I think of being on a beach with the sun setting, big blue skies and some puffy clouds to help create drama. When I was at the Retreats by BARKgraphy southern California retreat, we got a lot of those skies. This is one of my favorite images from that trip.
