Keeping pets safe during a hurricane is something many people along the coast and even sometimes inland have to do. Even though I live 3.5 hours inland, #hurricaneflorence is going to dump a lot of rain in Charlotte and being prepared is important.

Photographing happy dogs is one of my favorite parts of my job. How do I capture photos of dogs looking happy? It's not always as easy as it sounds.

Have you ever scheduled a photo session with a photographer and she tells you the best times to meet for the session are at either 7:30am or 8pm? Did you wonder why?

Dogs and sunflowers fields are always a good idea. Get on the list to have your dog's photo taken here. There will be limited opportunities for dog and sunflower sessions next July 2019! The flowers only last a few weeks and I'll book up fast.

I like to use architectural elements in my images when I'm photographing dogs. A lot of times I am photographing in parks so I don't have a lot of architectural elements to use but when I'm traveling, I always look to incorporate the city skyline in my photos when possible.
