URBAN: Dog Photography 52 Week Project - Week 14

Urban is our theme for week 14 of the 52 Week Dog Photography Project. I didn't know this was going to be the theme this week. For week 13 of the project, days before seeing the topic for this week, I wrote this on my blog: 

I think one of our weekly topics for the 52 week project should be "urban" because I need more experience photographing in urban areas. 

I'm just putting this out there.... I think I need to win the lottery because then I could spend all my time and effort on pursuing my photography education.

GREEN: Dog Photography 52 Week Project: Week 13

Green is our topic for week 13 of the 52 week project and do you know what popped into my mind instantly? I am GREEN with envy when it comes to photographers who have more experience than me. I want to be so much better than I am. I still spend time almost every day trying to improve my photography skills. Some might say I'm a bit obsessed.

Moose's Story

Moose's story began in the spring of 2014. He was surrendered to Lab Rescue of NC after living outside with another dog. The woman who had him was moving out of state and she didn't want to take him. Sad as that day probably was for him, I think it may have been one of the best days of his life.

Barkarica - The Experience

Barkarica, an out of this world pet photography retreat is more than a workshop, it's an experience. I've been fortunate to attend Barkarica and Barkelona. They've both been amazing and wonderful and I always find I struggle with finding the right words to describe how I really feel about them. They're that awesome!

HDR Photography: Dog Photography Project 52: Week 12

HDR Photography stands for High Dynamic Range Photography. Dynamic range in photography is the difference between the darkest and the lightest areas in a photo. HDR is a technique used in photography to create vivid, vibrant many times colorful images because it increases the dynamic range. I think the images look "punchy."  It is a style that some people love and some people hate. It's really not my style but at times I do like it.
