Are Poodles One of the Most Popular Breeds in Charlotte NC?

One of the most popular breeds in Charlotte NC, poodles

Are poodles one of the most popular breeds in Charlotte? I’m not sure I really know the answer to this question but I have met and photographed quite a few of them so I am inclined to say yes, they are!

These two cuties are Molly and Sasha. I photographed them last year when their dogmom bid on a photo shoot I donated to the American Heart Association for their fundraising gala.

Molly is 6 years old and the red miniature poodle and 5 year old Sasha is the white toy poodle.

Here are some fun facts about them that their mom shared with me:

  1. Molly is very laid back and sweet.

  2. Molly can be clumsy at times (this makes me laugh because she looks so distinguished in all of her photos!)

  3. Sasha loves attention.

  4. Sasha always burps after she eats.

  5. They love to play tug a war with each other and chase each other around the house.

At our photo shoot, they were very well behaved. We were at Freedom Park which is a very popular and busy park. They would stand and pose even if their mom dropped the leash behind them. They never even threatened to take off.

They actually live just outside of Charlotte in Denver NC which is near Mountain Island Lake.

The Denver Canine Club has chosen them as the “Dogs of the Month” for June so they’re going to be featured and you’ll see one of my photos of them on their website. How exciting is that?

Congratulations Molly and Sasha.

Poodles may be one of the most popular dog breeds in Charlotte. If I answered this question based upon my clientele, I’d also have to say Golden Retrievers, Doodles, Frenchies and Mixed Breeds / Rescue Dogs would also be on the list of Top 5.

If you click the link, you’ll be taken to that dog photographer’s page and read her blog post. If you click the link at the bottom of each post, you’ll end up back here when you’ve completed the circle.
