To date my biggest photographer problems have been finding pretty light and getting dogs to pose. In October, I had a much bigger problem develop.

As a child I growing up in the 70s, we always had dogs. Here’s the story of all of the dogs I’ve loved in my lifetime.

This is Hunter. He lives in Canada and I “met” him on Instagram several years ago. On July 25, 2024 I got to meet him in person!

He is a solid liver colored german shorthaired pointer and he reminds me so much of my first dog Sloan. And I love him. Before I ever met him, I loved him.

She’ll be 17 on June 15th, 2024. Her name is Maggie and her mom reached out so I could photograph them together and capture their sweet bond.

I am participating in Unleashed Education’s third pet photography challenge called Empower.

For the next 6 months, we will be given a topic every 2 weeks and we have to create our vision using a pet and whatever the topic is. The first challenge is “Along the Lines” and this is my story about creating my image using leading lines.
