How to Take Better Pictures of Your Dog

I was contacted by WBTV about appearing on their morning show QC Life.

July 11th is All American Pet Photo Day and they asked me all about how to take better photos of your dogs. I could have gone on and on about this topic.

Watch the video clip to hear my suggestions.

A couple more points I could have mentioned:

  1. Get low. Bend down or lay down on your stomach when you’re photographing your dog. The difference in perspective can be huge.

  2. If you’re outside, don’t take your dog’s photo in the bright sunlight. High noon on a sunny day isn’t ideal. If it’s sunny, place your dog in the shade with his face positioned towards the sun.

I hope these suggestions help.

You’d never know I had a migraine an hour before we shot this, right? Thank goodness for imitrex.

Apologies for saying ummmmm a lot.
