Get close is the topic of week 15 in the dog photography 52 week project. I love close up shots. I take a lot of them. I have a macro lens, the Nikkor 105mm and it allows me to get close to my subject however some dogs don't like the lens that close to them so I tend to back away and give them enough space so they're comfortable. So why then am I struggling to figure out what photos to post here? I am actually asking myself, do I have to post photos this week? Keep reading and you'll understand why I'm asking myself this.

Cake Smash

Have you heard of a cake smash? They are popular for toddler birthday parties and for dog birthday parties. 

Well it just so happened that our Moose turned 11 on Friday March 30. We have noticed lately that he is slowing down. We are cherishing every moment with have with him and we (who am I kidding... it wasn't we it was me!) decided he needed to have a birthday party. I decided to try a cake smash with him. I've seen some other dog photographers post adorable cake smash photos. I could do this too, right?

Re-edit: 52 Week Dog Photography Project - Week 12

Re-edit is the theme for the 52 week dog photography project. It occurred to me that I could go in an re-edit some photos I took back in December 2016 of a golden retriever puppy named Ivy. Favorite song is the topic of our dog photography 52 week project this week and my mind went in a 100 different directions when I thought about this topic. My initial thought was, how do I pick one favorite song? I love music. I have tons of favorite songs. I listen to music all the time. Do I try to pick my favorite song that's being played on the radio right now? That'd be hard... but I could try.
